Delete Account Request

This page is for Shwapnopuron Organization app (org.shwapnopuron.swp_member) and shwapnopuron.org website. From here you can request deletion of your account and stored data.

How to request deletion

1. Enter your name and the mobile number used on the account in the form below.
2. Choose your account type — member, blood donor, or "not sure" if you do not know.
3. Submit the form. We will verify your identity by phone.
4. After verification your account and data will be deleted within 30 days.

Data that will be deleted

• Name, parents’ names, date of birth, gender, religion, marital status
• Mobile number, email address, present and permanent address, Facebook link
• Profile photo, scanned national ID or birth registration, signature
• Occupation, education, institution, skills and areas of interest
• Blood group, donation dates, and your name in the blood donor directory
• Login password and the data used to send notifications to your phone

Data that is kept, and why

Some records cannot be deleted, for accounting and legal reasons. These are kept as part of the accounts only, not linked to your name or identity:

• Subscription and donation receipts — A record of money the organisation actually received, needed for auditing. Your name is removed; only the amount, date and receipt number are kept.
• Poll results — Our system never records who you voted for — ballots and the voter roll are kept separate to keep votes secret. Announced totals remain unchanged.

Your data may also remain in routine server backups for up to 90 days, after which it is removed along with the backup.

If you only want to leave the directory, not delete your account

To be removed from the blood donor directory you do not need to delete your account — turning off "available to donate" in your app profile hides your number from everyone.
